Relocation in Pandemic?

I received the above note in a contact form and wanted to ensure I answered the question. I’ll go deeper in next week’s episode on the above but wanted to write out my thoughts. I have a couple questions I’d love for you to answer.

  1. Do you drive? – A short term fix during this pandemic could be to visit parks, start hiking, explore new towns (masked up of course).
  2. DIY Projects – revamp your immediate space. Paint your bedroom, add an accent color and/or add splash to your kitchen by re-doing counter tops with new fun contact paper.
  3. Virtual Tours – check out virtual tours or museums, zoos, amusement parks, apartments (in the towns you’re looking to relocate to), and galleries.
  4. Online Studying – Occupy your mind with world studies, learn about the arts, explore hidden topics or things that have always been on your mind.
  5. Meet new people – use the apps to meet new friends or people in different states and countries. Join all these virtual happy hours, speed dating, etc

Those are just some ideas to help you explore the environment around you without feeling stuck. Personally, I would wait until the pandemic is over before making the move just because of safety and certainty reasons. Finally, plan have something to look forward to when this is all over. Treat yourself to a self care day, a solo trip, a girls weekend. Start working on your reward.

Hope that helped, sug!
